Top pick: #3 (R KING OF THE ROAD) - Lightly-raced and speedy, he was an impressive maiden winner early in the Saratoga meet last year, but did not race again until April 14th when he went wire to wire to win a first-level allowance at Aqueduct. Favored here in his latest, he tired a bit after being involved in a suicidial pace-duel thru very fast fractions. Drops down a bit for this and 4-year-old is the main speed.
2nd pick: #1 (Sam Sparkle) - 4-year-old tends to run evenly, but draws the rail and he comes off a fine third place finish here at this level and distance. Florida-bred has never won at this trip, but is (6-0-3-2) at it and he could pose a threat turning for home with a patient ride.
3rd pick: #6 (Black N Beauty) - Colt finished second here going 8.5 furlongs at this condition on May 12th, then checked-in a non-threatening third at the same level going a mile May 28th. Barn cuts him back in distance and he has a bit of speed.
