Top pick: #5 (MARCH ON) (5-2) - Daughter of 'War Front' enters off a career best effort here on the grass May 16. Facing slightly tougher going 8.5-furlongs, she tracked the pace, bid to the front, then tired late to finish fourth of nine, beaten two lengths. She's worked since and is dropping down just a bit for this attempt.
2nd pick: #2 (Lirica Heat) (6-1) - Argentine bred mare has been competitive in both local starts since shipping here from Santa Anita in early May. She has a flexible style and has run well many times against better fields than this in the past. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Barrel Roll) (4-1) - Lightly-raced and well bred, she raced evenly here in the same last race as 'March On.' She was 3 1/2 lengths back of that rival at the finish and will be getting the addition of both blinkers and Lasix from Hall of Famer Bill Mott.
4th pick: #9 (Undertherain) (3-1) - Un-raced since Dec 16, filly is working well here for a new trainer - Michelle Nevin, who is 26% with new arrivals. Filly has some speed and draws a nice outside post to gun from.
