2nd pick: #7 (Don Juan Kitten) (8-1) - Ramsey home-bred by 'Kitten's Joy' tired after rushing up in a stakes at Gulfstream May 2. He 'slammed into the gate' at the break and did well to miss by seven lengths following that miscue. Very sharp here in both starts during the early Fall, his stalking style makes him a threat at a square price.
3rd pick: #2 (Maxwell Esquire) (6-1) - On the sidelines since Nov. 27, he went 4-1-2-0 last year, all on the grass. Speedy state-bred is working steadily, has Lasix added, and should be involved from gate-to-wire if ready.
4th pick: #8 (Ever Dangerous) (6-1) - Another son of 'Kitten's Joy,' he was a sharp debut winner by four lengths going 8.5 furlongs at Gulfstream April 2. Sent right into a $75,000 stakes May 2, he tired while wide after breaking from a difficult post (11 of 11). He must be left in the mix.
