Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (ADIOS AMIGOS) (3-1) - On the sidelines since early August, this 4yo has finished within range in all four attempts. In his only previous start on dirt, he finished a pace-pressing 2nd when debuting at Aqueduct back in April of 2019. He has a fine series of local works, drops to a new low, and I like that Javier Castellano is aboard for the first time.
nd pick: #14 (J's Warrior) (6-1) - He ships from Churchill where he set a quick and pressured pace before weakening late to finish 3rd of 12, missing by 3.5 lengths while facing 'open' company for a $30K tag. Only his second start, it was his first since debuting here on the grass last June. He draws a tough post, but he should factor with an alert break.
rd pick: #7 (Go Rudy Go) (10-1) - One of a pair entered by Rudy Rodriguez and they race as separate betting interests. He's regressed in his last pair after showing sharp early speed in his first three attempts. I believe he'll be in this from gate-to-wire at a square price.
th pick: #5 (Brian's Last Song) (4-1) - A lightly raced gelding by 'Cairo Prince,' he finished a pace-setting 2nd when sprinting at Aqueduct for a $25K tag March 8. It was his first since late July at Saratoga and first for a price. Claimed away from Todd Pletcher by Bruce Brown last out, he's dangerous if he holds his form off the negative barn switch.
th pick: #4 (Unbridled John) (12-1) - He's an uncoupled barn-mate of 'Brian's Last Song' as both are trained by Bruce Brown. Even paced type is capable of getting a share at large odds, but he'll need to step it up for anything more than that.
