Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (HUMBOLDT N FROST) (5-2) - Speedy gelding is racing second back off a seven week break and has some changes that are all positive. Trainer Dom Schettino is dropping him to a new low in class, moves him from turf to dirt, and is adding both blinkers and leading rider Jose Ortiz. Working fast and believe he only has one serious challenger.
2nd pick: #7 (Rare Eagle) (2-1) - Strong finisher rallied to finish third here at this level going a mile May 1. It was his first back off a pair of layoffs and he's making back-to-back starts for the first time since the summer. Five-year-old does well at Belmont and he likes his distance 5-1-0-2.
3rd pick: #5 (Big East) (5-1) - He enters off a wide and even effort here at this trip May 11. Speed/stalker was four lengths behind 'Rare Eagle' that afternoon in his first race since March 20. Can be competitive todaywith a small step forward.
4th pick: #1 (Jacob's Here) (10-1) - No-speed type rallied to finish between 'Rare Eagle' and 'Big East' last out. It was his third start back from a four month layoff and produced a career best figure. Five-year-old would love a fast/and or contested pace to help his late running style out.
