Top pick: #8 (BEST PLAY) (4-1) - Well bred colt enters in career best form after a maiden win here on May 2 and a second place finish at this level on May 24. Both of those came in "off the turf" contests, the latest a career best first off a Dave Jacobson claim. Capable on the grass and he has a recency edge on one of his main rivals.

2nd pick: #10 (Madam I'm Adam) (5-2) - The "morning line" favorite, he's yet to win on the turf (7-0-2-2), but has a stalking style and has done his best grass work locally (5-0-2-2). Gelding has been training steadily since April 3 and has been competitive off of layoffs in the past.

3rd pick: #2 (Distorted Dream) (6-1) - The main speed, he ships up from Pimlico where he was an easy wire-to-wire maiden winner on the grass going 8.5-furlongs. This is a big step up in class, but this once promising 5yo by "Distorted Humor" is dangerous on the front end.

4th pick: #4 (Northern Trip) (20-1) - Longhsot rallied after a slow start to check in fifth of 12, beaten just under three lengths going six-furlongs on this course May 14. It was his first race in six months, and trainer Jim Ryerson brings him back quickly and stretches him out to a mile.
