Top pick: #2 (TAP IT OUT) (7-2) - Daughter of 'Tapit' is one of several that have some talent and promise. She's been competitive in all five turf starts, and last out finished a close up 4th here at this level and distance. 3yo had some traffic issues that day and can take this with a clean trip. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Flamingo Lane) (3-1) - Veteran mare was a bit over a length better than 'Tap It Out" here June 13. Solid effort was her first start since Dec. 6th and ran her record on the grass to 9-3-3-2. Obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Silverville) (4-1) - She ships in from Monmouth where she finished 2nd at this level and distance June 21. That made her 6-1-4-1 in her career, all on the grass going a mile or longer. Strong finisher must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #4 (Giant's Jewel) (10-1) - Mare exits the same last race as both 'Tap It Out' & 'Flamingo Lane.' Only beaten just over a length, it was her first back from several layoffs. Stretch runner will need a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a small slice of this.
