Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (AWESOME QUICK) (7-2) - Veteran mare was declared a non-starter last out when the stewards determined that she was in the grip of an asst. starter at the break. It was her first race in seven months and trainer Mike Miceli has breezed her twice since. Speedy 5-year-old has blinkers on and is nicely spotted in this small field.
2nd pick: #6 (Athera) (5-2) - The morning line and probable favorite, she's been on the sidelines since a win at Gulfstream Park March 25 going 7.5 furlongs for a $16,000 tag. Claimed that day by Patrick Reynolds she's been competitive in 10 of her last 11 starts and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Silver Magnolia) (3-1) - Away since early October, mare will be racing first off a Gary Gullo claim (23%). She has fine grass form (15-3-3-2) but all of those starts have been at longer distances. Five-year-old can factor if ready but will need a fast/and or contested pace for anything more than a minor award.
