Top pick: #1 (ENTRY of 1-GIRLABOUTTOWN & 1a-STAR GRAZING) (6-5) - Broman bred entry has #1-GIRLABOUTTOWN making her debut off a series of solid works. Daughter of "A.P. Indy" has some solid works on view and the jockey (Juan Ortiz) and trainer (Mike Hushion) combination wins at a 32% clip when teamed up. 1a-STAR GRAZING has the best races of those that have run and daughter of "Sky Mesa" is working fast for her first start since Oct. 19.
2nd pick: #4 (Quit Smokin) (6-1) - Lightly-raced daughter of "Smoke Glackin" has shown early speed in all three starts and last out tired while racing between foes. It was a positive effort and came off a 18 month layoff. Her early foot makes this 4-year-old grey filly dangerous.
3rd pick: #2 (Mary's in Utopia) (8-1) - The field's most experienced runner moves up in class and breaks from the rail. She's been competitive in three straight facing weaker after returning from a six month layoff and enters off a career best figure.
4th pick: #3 (Kleptocrat) (5-1) - One of two entered by trainer Charlie Baker and the two fillies race uncoupled. She rallied to finish a distant second to a heavy favorite and was "much the best" winner on June 12th in a solid debut. She's worked well since and moves up in class for this assignment.
