Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (DEFROCK) (4-1) - Filly pressed the pace before tiring badly at this level and distance on the dirt June 4. However, it was her first start since Oct. 30, and she most likely needed the effort. Back on the grass, daughter of 'Blame' is working very fast and appears to be lone speed.
2nd pick: #6 (Resonate) (3-1) - Home bred filly by 'Exchange Rate' has been sharp in both starts. She rallied to finish 2nd when debuting on the Gulfstream grass April 30, then checked in a close up 3rd here after chasing the pace June 8. An obvious contender.
3rd pick: #8 (Complicit) (5-1) - One of two fillies entered by Chad Brown, and the pair race uncoupled. She rallied while very wide to finish 3rd when debuting at this level and distance Dec. 3 on a soft turf course at Aqueduct. Brown is having an outstanding meet (35 for 128, 27%), and this daughter of 'Blame' is a stretch threat if ready.
4th pick: #9 (Silver Shaker) (6-1) - The second of the Brown fillies, she was away slowly before finishing fast when debuting at Gulfstream March 25. Trainer wins at a 24% rate second time out, and this grey 3yo has been in steady training at Saratoga since mid-May. The presence of John Velazquez is duly noted.
