Top pick: #3 (ROAD AGENT) (8-5) - He races first off a Dave Jacobson claim ( a 26% winning angle) annd colt comes off a career best when he was a winner at Aqueduct facing a bit weaker on April 7th. A repeat of that effort takes another.
2nd pick: #9 (Lucci the Lion ) (3-1) - Colt has been freshened up since a pair of sharp efforts in Feb racing on Aqueduct's inner surface. Working fine for this, trainer Rudy Rodriguez has him spotted where he's very dangerous if ready.
3rd pick: #5 (Nevada) (5-1) - Colt cost $375K as a yearling and began his career in the Pletcher barn. He was claimed at Gulfstream in late jan by Joe Orseno for $25K and finished 2nd at this level on Feb 6th before being overmatched in the "Swale" stakes (G3) on March 2nd. Freshened up since, he ran well on this "deep & "tricky" surface as a 2yo.
4th pick: #6 (Warrior James) (12-1) - Longshot tired to finish 3rd last out going a mile at this level after he was "bumped" at the break. Colt had won his previous pair facing weaker and is working above average for his first since March 15th.
