Top pick: #3 (CALEB'S POSSE) - Incredibly this 6 hore field has earned almost $9,000,000 and is one of the best groips assembled anywhere in the past 10 years. "Caleb" was an extremely impressive winner last November of the Breeder's Cup Mil3(G1) at Churchill and has come up a neck and a nose short in his first two start of 2012. Last out he lost a nose "bob" on the wire to today's rival Jackson Bend in the (G1) Carter April 7th at Aqueduct but should turn the tables today at this mile trip. He's one of 4 talented runners that could take this, but in my opinion he has an edge.
2nd pick: #1 (To Honor and Serve) - He's always been highly thought of by "Hall of Fame" trainer Bill Mott and really began to show his real potential when he came back from a 4 month break last August. Since then he's won the rich Pennsylvania Derby(G2), the (G1) Cigar Mile, and last out the Westchester Hdcp(G3) here at this distance on April 28th, his first start since early November. Son of "Bernardini" is 3 for 3 at this "flat" mile distance and is a perfect two for two on this "tricky" surface. Very dangerous.
3rd pick: #2 (Shackleford) - He's the biggest earner of the 5 millionaires entered ($2.3M) and aas been a top performer his entire career. Working fast for this, he was right behind both "Caleb" & "Jackson" in the Carter, then came back to take the (G2) Churchill Downs Hdcp on the "Derby" undercard. Can be placed jus about anywhere and last fall he finished 2nd to "Caleb" in the Breeder's Cup Mile (G1).
