Premium Pick

Top pick: #6 (FLAT OUT) (3-1) - Hard-hitting veteran looked like his "old self" when he rallied and won a final furlong duel with today's rival "Cross Traffic" when winning the (G3) "Westchester" here April 27. He ran his record on this deep course to a perfect four for four that day and has since come back with a pair of impressive "bullet' works on the Saratoga training track. A win today would push him over the $3M mark in earnings, and I like his chances.

2nd pick: #3 (Mark Valeski) (5-1) - Home-bred looked to have a very bright future when he won the "Peter Pan" stakes (G2) on this surface May 12 of 2012, but was injured soon afterwards and did not race again until Jan. 19. He's gone (3-1-2-0) since returning and stalker should get a solid pace to track. Working fast for this and you already know that he handles the surface.

3rd pick: #1 (Cross Traffic) (5-2) - Lightly raced grey colt by "Unbridled's Song" is (3-2-1-0), and ran a monster race last out whe he lost by a "head" to "Flat Out" in the "Westchster"(G3). Speed/stalker draws the rail once again and will need to be sent early on. 4yo will have to run hard every step.

4th pick: #7 (Sahara Sky) (6-1) - West coast based runner is accomplished at middle-distances and will need to extend his ability an extra furlong this afternoon. Strong finisher enters in career best form and will get a fast pace to rally into. Can factor if he can handle both this surface and distance.
