Top pick: #2 (BLAME) - Very tough old-fashioned type runner seems to know where the wire is (like "Affirmed") as most of his wins are by narrow margins. Training well for his first since winning the G1 "Whitney" at Saratoga August 7th he'll be racing here for the first time, but has already won at 5 different tracks. Takes this with a late move.
2nd pick: #1 (Fly Down ) - Likes the surface (3-1-1-1) and come into this off a very tough loss in the G1 "Travers" at Saratoga when he was probably best. Training fast and he draws the ground-saving rail. The main danger.
3rd pick: #6 (Haynesfield) - Loves this surface (5-4-1-0) and is training fast for his first start since a "troubled" outing in the "Whitney"(G1) at Saratoga. Has good early speed, but can also rate. New York-bred must be left in the win mix.
