Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (GREEN LIGHT GO) (2-1) - Unbeaten and virtually untested in his two victories, he's stretching out in distance and off an eight-week break. A first out winner here going 5.5 furlongs July 4, this Stronach home bred by 'Hard Spun' earned a big 84 Byer speed figure that afternoon. Sent into the Saratoga Special (G2) at 6.5 furlongs Aug. 10, he was visually impressive when costing home by almost 4 lengths in fast time 1:15.60. Scratched out of Hopeful Stakes (G1) Sept. 2 due to a very sloppy track, he's training fast and can move on to the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) at Santa Anita Nov. 3 if he wins this.
2nd pick: #7 (Tiz the Law) (7-2) - The field's only New York bred, he was an easy debut winner going 6.5 furlongs Aug. 8 at Saratoga. He moves way up in class today, but has been working very fast locally, draws a fine outside post, and is dangerous today.
3rd pick: #5 (Godzilla) (4-1) - Believe he's the main speed and this lightly raced colt was reported to be one of trainer Steve Asmussen's top 2yos before the Saratoga meet. An easy debut winner there at 6 furlongs Aug. 10, he then tired to check in third at the Spa in the G1 Hopeful on a sloppy surface Sept. 2. A serious player n this small field.
4th pick: #1 (Alpha Sixty Six) (4-1) - He looked like a seasoned pro rallying late to win his debut here Sept. 7 going 6.5 furlongs. $400K purchase is in the Pletcher barn and was bet dow to even money first out. Working very fast since, he's in the mix.
