Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (YOSHIDA) (9-2) - Rare Japanese bred was a decisive winner at Pimlico in the $100K James W. Murphy Stakes going a mile May 20. It was his first facing winners and he did so with a powerful late move. Working fine for this, he gets a very small edge in a wide open contest.
nd pick: #6 (Arklow) (8-1) - Much improved since switching to the grass, he won the rich American Turf Stakes (G2) going 8.5 furlongs at Churchill Downs May 6. Strong finisher should love this 10 furlong distance.
rd pick: #3 (Homesman) (5-1) - One of two Euros from the barn of Aidan O'Brien, colt was beaten 4.5 lengths in a 12 furlong stakes at Royal Ascot June 22. Race had 19 horses and the winner scored by daylight. Son of 'War Front' won a Group 3 in his previous stat at the Curragh and it came at this distance. Must be left in the mix.
th pick: #10 (Whitecliffsofdover) (12-1) - The second of the pair from Aidan O'Brien, he's been facing the top company and has been competitive in England, France, and Ireland. Colt has a flexible style and can factor at a big price.
th pick: #4 (Oscar Performance) (4-1) - Speedy sort has won four of seven, all on the grass. He's a perfect two for two here at Belmont and both came in G3 stakes. Back in top form, he's working fast and can't be eliminated.
