Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (HOPE'S ROAR) (8-1) - Longshot is cutting back in distance after a close up finish going 1 1/8th miles at this level on the Saratoga grass Aug. 24th. She had a wide trip from a tough outside post and should be set for a competitive effort at a square price in this shorter contest.
2nd pick: #2 (Cosmic Tale) (4-1) - Grey filly has good early speed and exits the same last race as 'Hope's Roar.' She set a solid pace that day and held to finish 3rd, just under a length better than that rival. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #11 (Mohawk Lily) (6-1) - Speed/stalker has finished 4th in both turf starts at this level going a bit longer. Filly moves back to the grass after running 2nd at this tag going 6.5-furlongs on the Saratoga dirt Sept. 3rd. 3yo draws a good post for this trip and is a factor.
4th pick: #6 (Take a Bow) (12-1) - Longshot is going dirt to turf and making back-to-back starts for the first time. She showed some speed when debuting here on the dirt July 19. In her follow up race at Saratoga Sept. 3rd, she was never involved after 'bobbling' at the break. Bred for the grass, she may grab a share at a big price.
5th pick: #4 (Irish Actor) (3-1) - Freshened up since July 8, she's dropping back down in class for this attempt. Home bred has had trouble at the start in both appearances and is a threat if able to break cleanly.
