Daughter of the speedy 'Bustin Stones' has main track experience and has finished second at this level in both attempts on wet surfaces. Three-year-old ships down from Saratoga where she breezed a near bullet half-mile Sept. 15. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Palladian Bridge) (2-1) - The probable favorite, she's been competitive in both starts, one each on turf & dirt. Another with early speed she has the rail and should be involved every step. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Sneaky Fudge Face) (12-1) - Longshot is going grass to dirt and is shortening up in distance. Trainer Pat Kelly gives her a rider upgrade to Junior Alvarado and think this daughter of 'Congaree' may grab a share at a big price.
4th pick: #9 (Alyee) (12-1) - Debuting daughter of the solid 'Majestic Warrior' has been in steady training since late May. In a capable barn (Mike Pino 15% first out), $30K purchase need not be anything special to factor against this group.
5th pick: #10 (High Barbaree) (30-1) - Big longshot is working above average for her first race since July 16. Well bred 3-year-old has backed up in all four appearances, but could impact if she runs to her recent a.m. drills.
