Top pick: #3 (DREAMING AS ALWAYS) (5-1) - The only debuting filly entered, this daughter of "Broken Vow" has some sharp works on view and trainer Chris Clement (18% first out)looks like he has her ready for a top performance. She's bred for the turf and meets a very weak field in this afternoon's finale.
2nd pick: #6 (Escape to Malibu) (12-1) - Another that's beautifully bred, she made up ground after a poor start when debuting at Saratoga at this level and distance Aug. 25. She's worked well since and believe daughter of "Malibu Moon" is a win threat at a big price.
3rd pick: #4 (Dixie Gem) (5-1) - Filly enters off a career best when she rallied to finish second at Saratoga on Aug. 25. She was four in front of "Escape to Malibu" that day and it was her first start in blinkers. Stretch threat.
4th pick: #5 (Graceful Gal) (3-1) - Daughter of "Curlin" rallied to finish fourth following a troubled break when debuting in a turf sprint at the Spa on Aug. 24. She's worked twice since including a near bullet half-mile breeze here a week ago. Trainer Leo O'Brien stretches her out and his son-in-law John Velazquez stays aboard.
5th pick: #2 (Sakonnet Point) (7-2) - Away since early November, home bred by "Point Given" has been competitive in both starts facing fellow New York breds and strong finisher is a major force if ready off the 10 1/2 month layoff.
