Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (WAR ORDER) (3-1) - $200,000 colt by 'War Front' has been competitive in both starts. He finished 3rd when debuting in a grass sprint at Saratoga Aug. 2nd, then ran 2nd there when going 8.5 furlongs Sept. 5th. Freshened up since, he draws a good post at this one-turn mile, and gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #9 (Catapult) (7-2) - Debuting son of the grass sire 'Kitten's Joy' cost $350,000 a year ago as a Keeneland sales yearling. Working nicely for his first appearance, he's from the barn of Chad Brown (20% first out). His main rider (Irad Ortiz, Jr.) is aboard.
rd pick: #4 (Giant Run) (8-1) - Colt moves from dirt to turf after a good effort here at this level going a mile on the main track Sept. 12th. It was a nice move forward off his debut, and $200K son of 'Giant's Causeway' is bred to handle the grass.
th pick: #7 (Ten Hut) (20-1) - Colt raced evenly when debuting here Sept. 26th going six furlongs on the grass. He's worked twice since, and trainer Michelle Nevin (18% second time out) stretches him out to a mile.
th pick: #11 (Oscar Mike) (6-1) - Blinkers go on colt who has finished 3rd in his first pair on the grass going shorter. He's stretching out in distance and draws a good outside post to get the early lead from. Dangerous if he goes uncontested in the first half-mile.
