Top pick: #7 (DROVER) - He had trouble in his debut at Saratoga on the grass then finished second last out here in a contest that was switched to the main-track. Barn (Todd Pletcher) has been on fire of late. The top selection.
nd pick: #1 (El Commodore) - He tired in his debut after pressing the pace and has had troubles of one sort or another in his last pair. Freshened-up for the past seven weeks he looks set for his best.
rd pick: #5 (Tristen's Mambo) - First-time starter by the grass sire "Arch" has been in steady training since July and many of the works are excellent. Good barn (Kiaran McLaughlin) wins at a 17% rate with debuting stock.
th pick: #4 (Trippo) - He's had traffic woes in all three of his starts, the latest pair going two-turns on the Saratoga lawn. Son of "Trippi" cuts back in distance, fits with theses, but draws a "tricky" inside post. Needs clear sailing.
th pick: #8 (Man Card) - Barn (Terri Pompay) thought enough of him to send him to Saratoga for his debut. He finished a tiring eighth of nine in a very strong field. Son of "Langfuhr" finished second last out on the dirt at Monmouth racing for $40K. Could impact here at a square price.
