Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (SEIZE THE HAY) (9-2) - Lightly raced colt rallied to finish 2nd at this level and distance when debuting March 7 at Gulfstream. Eased up on a sloppy surface in an 'off the turf' contest April 18, Todd Pletcher has him back on the grass, and I give this 3yo a very slim edge.
nd pick: #7 (Stare Deciis) (7-2) - One of a pair from Chad Brown, and they race uncoupled. He's raced evenly in his first pair and goes today off just under a five-month layoff. Working steadily, Brown has Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard this 4yo.
rd pick: #8 (Astronaut) (4-1) - A $200K son of 'Quality Road,' he finished a sharp 2nd at this level going a mile at Gulfstream April 18. Only his second start, it was his first since debuting in a dirt sprint Dec. 7, and first on the grass. He's in the win mix.
th pick: #2 (Shamrocket) (3-1) - Colt has been competitive in four straight and draws a ground-saving post. The latest saw him check in a distant 2nd at Gulfstream April 25 to a winner who came back to score again next out.
th pick: #11 (Amano) (5-1) - The second of the pair from Chad Brown, he rallied mildly to finish a close-up 4th when debuting at Gulfstream March 7. Brown wins at a 26% rate second time out and has Joel Rosario staying aboard.
