Premium Pick

Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (COMPLEX SYSTEM) (3-1) - This colt is lightly raced and has been competitive in both starts. He finished 2nd debuting at this level and distance Nov. 10 at Aqueduct, then checked in 3rd, missing by a length when going a mile Jan. 18 at Gulfstream. Trainer Chad Brown shortens him up, and this 3yo enters off of three above-average local drills.

2nd pick: #8 (Propensity) (7-2) - He's one of two entered by Bill Mott, and the pair race uncoupled. One of three older runners, this 4yo has finished 3rd in both races on the grass, each at a mile. He has a speed/stalking style, and Mott has John Velazquez aboard for the first time.

3rd pick: #11 (It's a Wrap) (8-1) - A NEW gelding, he moves to the grass after showing good early speed in a pair of heavily bet starts on the dirt. Beaten by four lengths or less in each, this 3yo is working fast and is a threat at a big price.

4th pick: #1 (New Frontier) (6-1) - He's been competitive in nine straight starts, including a close up 4th place finish July 5 at Ellis Park in his only previous grass attempt. Speed/stalker has the rail, is working fast, and must be left in the mix.

5th pick: #2 (Caribbean Gold) (6-1) - 3yo has been competitive in both grass sprints at Gulfstream. The colt earned solid figures in each, has plenty of room for upside, and can't be eliminated.
