Top pick: #6 (DOUGIE) - Very expensive ($250,000) New York-bred chased a fast pace here at this level and distance June 18 and finished evenly to be beaten by two lengths. Race was his first since debuting at saratoga July 30 of 2008 and he probably needed it badly. All-set for his diploma.
2nd pick: #4 (Barrel of Love) - The main-danger he's finished second in his last pair by very narrow margins and stalker looms the likely winner if the top pick is sub-par.
3rd pick: #10 (Don't Cross Me ) - Philly Park shipper pressed a fast pace in his debut on the dirt and will try the turf and run for a new trainer today (Juan Ortiz). His early speed makes him a bit dangerous.
4th pick: #8 (Dirt Track Demon) - Also showed speed in his debut and he's been freshened-up for the past seven weeks for his second start. Bred to handle the grass and he can factor this afternoon.
