2nd pick: #13 (Cookie Crisp) (9-2) - He's dropping down following a very wide effort here for a $75,000 tag going 8.5-furlongs June 15. 4yo was only beaten 6.5 lengths, and he lost at least as much of that ground on the turn. The outside post at this seven-furlong trip is a plus, and he's a serious win player.
3rd pick: #9 (Z Town) (10-1) - $340,000 son of 'Speightstown' was originally in the barn of Todd Pletcher. Claimed by Linda Rice for $50,000 April 29, she has him on the grass for the first time. Rice wins at a 36% rate first off the claim, and this 3yo received heavy betting action in his first pair on the dirt.
4th pick: #10 (Sethary) (12-1) - Blinkers go on for colt who is dropping in class, switching from dirt to turf, and is stretching out in distance. He's shown good early speed in all four main track sprints, and trainer Chris Clement has won with 10 of 23 (43%) with maidens taking this particular drop.
5th pick: #3 (Polar City) (4-1) - Another with some early speed, he finished 2nd for a $75K tag May 18, but tired in his follow up at the same claiming price June 15. He's brought back quickly, drops to a new low, and shortens up in distance.
