Gelding just failed Aug 23 at Saratoga racing for a $50K tag in what was his first back off a two month layoff. Trainer Dave Jacobson has worked four times this month and 5-year-old is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Groupthink) (6-1) - Consistent sort chased and weakened to finish a non-threatening third when racing at this level going 7-furlongs Aug at Saratoga. Most of his best efforts have come at Belmont and he's 7-1-4-1 here. Four-year-old is shortening up a furlong and can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #5 (America's Guest) (3-1) - He exits the same last race as 'Forest Boy' and rallied while wide to check in 1 1/2 lengths behind that rival. He broke his maiden here at this distance a bit over a year ago and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Be a Hero) (7-2) - Lightly-raced 5-year-old is another with early speed and he's racing first off a Rudy Rodriguez claim (29%) and with blinkers on (21%). Working above average for his first since Aug 2 and Irad Ortiz Jr. is aboard.
