Top pick: #4 (THINK I'M HOOKED) - Colt by "Hook and Ladder" set/pressed a fast pace when debuting at Saratoga facing state-bred special weights on August 13, then made up some late ground in the $126K Aspirant S. at Finger Lakes Sept. 5. He had trained very fast at Saratog between those outings and is brougght back quickly by trainer Gary Contessa and dropped into a claimer for the first time. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Ganador) - Nice effort in his debut at Saratoga saw this son of "Posse" take the early lead, open up turning for home, and lost by a neck after fighting back once challenged. Trainer Dom Galluscio has worked him twice since and brings him back at the same price. Colt draws the rail, shortens-up a 1/16th of a mile, and Galluscio wins at a 22% rtae second time out. Win candidate, he's one of two entered by the barn and they'll race uncoupled.
3rd pick: #6 (Shane Roars) - The second of the Galluscio runners also has some speed but finished 12 lengths behind his barn-mate at the Spa. Last out he showed solid early speed before weakening to finish fourth. Threat if he runs.
