Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (TREE TOP LOVER) (8-5) - English bred gelding has gone 4-0-2-2 at this claiming price since relocating from the midwest this past spring. Stalker ran second here at this distance in the mud Sept. 30 and earned a career best figure. He's worked fast since and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Kohlhase) (9-5) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old raced evenly here Sept. 30 wile finishing six lengths in back of 'Tree Top Lover.' I don't believe he cared for the muddy going that day and leading trainer Rudy Rodriguez will add blinkers for this attempt. Barn is 26-of-95 (27%) at this meet and $170K gelding by 'Mineshaft' is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Azarel) (5-1) - Freshened up since Aug. 5, trainer owner/trainer Dave Cannizzo is dropping him down in class and is racing him on the dirt for the first time. Believe he has the best chance of the remaining runners.
