Top pick: #9 (SUMMATION TIME) (9-2) - Lightly raced colt has been freshened up since a pair of solid starts during the summer going a mile on the grass. Trainer Chris Clement has him working steadily, drops him in class, and cuts him back to a sprint.
2nd pick: #10 (Smoke Police) (7-2) - Speedy sort tired after contesting a the pace here at this tag on a 'sloppy" surface on Oct. 4th. Trainer Chad Brown, who has locked up the training title at this meet, moves him to the turf for the first time, and this son of "Hard Spun" is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Road to Rockport) (5-1) - Gelding by "Dixie Union" did well to finish third here on a "sloppy" surface when debuting at this tag on Oct. 4th. He was almost a length clear of "Smoke Police," will go dirt to turf, and has blinkers added. His trainer (Jimmy Jerkens) is having a career year, and this $100K purchase is bred to enjoy the infield.
4th pick: #7 (Ireland's Eye) (12-1) - He's another coming out of the same Oct. 4th dirt contest, and he finished right behind both "Road to Rockport" and "Smoke Police." He has previous turf experience and it was the best race in his four start career. Price play.
