Top pick: #10 (TAPIDOR) (5-1) - Son of "Tapit" is improving, and has had trouble at the break in all three starts. $450K yearling is working well, draws a nice outside post, and John Velazquez replaces Edgar Prado.
nd pick: #3 (Balderdash) (3-1) - Grey colt is in the barn of owner/breeder Kate Feron, and has finished third in both starts. One run type gets lasix added today, and is a win candidate.
rd pick: #5 (Dowse Beach) (4-1) - Well-backed in his debut, he raced evenly in the same local contest as several others. Lasix is added, and he should improve enough to factor.
th pick: #9 (Forever Utopia) (5-2) - He showed a nice move forward in his second start when he was involved in the running from start to finish and held gamely to run second, a 1/2 length in front of "Balderdash". Must be left in the mix.
th pick: #1 (Gone Country) (8-1) - He had a poor start in his well bet debut sprinting here on Sept. 26th, and trainer Rudy Rodriguez (23% second time out) will stretch him out in distance.
