2nd pick: #1 (Northern Screamer) (2-1) - The probable favorite, she's moving up in class in her first off a Steve Asmussen claim (18%). Speed/stalker missed by a 1/2 length here at this distance Sept. 17th racing for a $20K tag. Filly has the rail and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Smok'n Stroll) (7-2) - Filly has been in steady training since late July as she makes her first start. In the barn of Todd Pletcher (23% with debuting stock), her last seven published drills are above average, including a bullet half-mile gate breeze here Sept. 5th.
