Top pick: #9 (SO ROYAL) (3-1) - Lightly-raced filly by "Chapel Royal" ships from Calder where she chased and tired on a sloppy surface facing specisl weights on April 7th. Good small barn (Lisa Lewis) drops her into a claimer and switches her to the turf. 3-year-old is racing off almost an eight week break and is training fine at Saratoga.
nd pick: #6 (Rettalfa) (8-1) - Price play chased and held to finish second to a "much the best" winner here on the main track when facing weaker on April 28th. Race came off a four month layoff, and trainer Gary Gullo moves her to the grass and bumps her up a bit in value.
rd pick: #11 (Guilio's Jewel) (7-2) - Speedy Maryland invader has fine early speed and will be switching to the grass and dropping into a claimer, both for the first time. She comes off a career best when running second at Pimlico on May 10th and should be involved from start-to-finish.
th pick: #2 (Bounty Pink) (4-1) - Filly has been claimed out of her last two starts and she's been bet heavily in all three outings. Daughter of "Speightstown" goes off a seven week freshening and her new trainer (Linda Rice) 21% off the claim switches her to the grass. Dangerous.
th pick: #4 (Ivanovna) (6-1) - Filly is one of two entered by trainer Ed Barker and the pair race uncoupled. She comes off a career best when finishing third here at this tag going a mile on May 1st and will be cutting back in distance for this attempt.
