Premium Pick

Top pick: #1 (POP POP'S SMYLE) (9-5) - Lightly raced filly chased while wide and weakened in the last furlong to finish fifth of 10, beaten almost nine lengths racing against tougher on June 12. Race was her first in almost 100 days, and trainer Rudy Ridriguez brings her back in four days and drops her down. She has the rail and is the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #5 (Veturia) (5-2) - Nicely-bred filly has been on the sidelines since late April when she was claimed here by trainer Chris Englehart for $20K. Daughter of "Distorted Humor" drops under the purchase price, and goes turf to dirt for the new barn. Dangerous with her best.

3rd pick: #2 (Dissension) (12-1) - She finished an even fourth here at this level on a sloppy surface here on May 25. Filly has regressed a bit of late and needs to turn it around for anything more than a minor award.

4th pick: #6 (D Frost) (15-1) - Lightly raced, she drops down and shortens up in distance. Filly "Golden Missile" has seen her form go downhill since a claim in early May, and needs to revert to her earlier efforts for any shot at the top prize.
