Premium Pick

Top pick: #9 (GOOD SO FAR) (4-1) - Daughter of "Empire Maker" is one of two entered by trainer Chris Clement, and the pair race uncoupled. She spent the first part of her career racing in France and won her North American debut on April 12 at Keeneland sprinting on the "poly" surface there. Latest saw her race evenly here at this level and distance, and strong finisher should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.

2nd pick: #8 (Aquinnah) (6-1) - Veteran mare has seven lifetime grass wins while the rest of the field has eight combined. She ships up from Monmouth with two victories in a row, the latest coming there going 5.5-furlongs on June 1. The "figure" earned is the highest any of these achieved last out, and she's in career best form.

3rd pick: #1 (Spun Silky) (3-1) - Mare by "Hard Spun" has a fine record on the turf (10-3-2-3), and last out finished second here at this level going seven-furlongs. One run type is in shape, has the ground saving rail, and must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #2 (Bella Castani) (2-1) - The second of the Clement pair, she was a stakes winner on this course in late April of 2013, but hasn't won in a half-dozen subsequent starts. Filly by "Big Brown" has a flexible style, has run well in all three appearances this year, and is a threat with her "A" game.
