Top pick: #1 (PRETTY LIKE ME) (8-5) - She's raced well in both starts and goes today off a solid second-place finish on April 17th at Aqueduct. Three-year-old showed a significant move forward that day over her debut and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (The Lost Tigress) (6-1) - Daughter of the fleet "Henny Hughes" was reported to a runner before her debut and was bet heavily on that Nov. 1 afternoon. She showed nothing to justify her 2-1 odds but may have bled as lasix is administered in her return. Filly is working fast locally and trainer Charlie Baker also adds blinkers.
3rd pick: #7 (Quit Smokin) (8-1) - Away from action since Dec. of 2012, grey daughter of "Smoke Glacken" has been working very fast for her return. Four-year-old had early speed in her two starts back then and drew a pair of tough fields.
4th pick: #4 (Penella) (7-2) - No-speed type rallied to finish second here at this trip facing $40K state-bred maidens on May 3rd. Claimed out of that start by Deb Divitto, she's worked her twice at Saratoga and filly would benefit from a fast and/or contested pace.
