Top pick: #8 (CALL DADDY) (5-2) - Gelding is dropping in class, going turf to dirt, and shortening up in distance. He tired last out on the grass going a mile for a $75K tag, but had missed by less than a length in his previous start sprinting on the dirt. Three-year-old by 'Scat Daddy' is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Banker Boss) (4-1) - Lightly-raced colt checked in a non-threatening third here May 10 when racing for a $50K tag. It was his first since late August at Saratoga when he finished second in his debut. Claimed out of his latest by Gary Gullo, he adds blinkers while dropping him 20% below the claimed price. He's worked well since the claim and is a threat.
3rd pick: #5 (Rimbaud) (12-1) - Longshot returns as a NEW gelding for his first race since March 14. Home hasn't shown much, but has faced tougher in all six starts. The drop into claimers can only help and he may be competitive at a big price.
4th pick: #3 (Promise and Hope) (5-1) - He raced evenly here facing tougher May 2. It was his first in seven weeks and trainer Dave Cannizzo had him gelded three days later. That, along with the drop into claimers makes him interesting.
