Top pick: #1 (MOONLIT SONNET) (5-2) - Lightly-raced and bred on both "top and bottom" for grass success, daughter of "Shakespeare" was an impressive maiden winner here at this distance on May 4th. Win came in her second back from a 6 1/2 month layoff and was by far a career best. 3-year-old has been working fast on the Saratoga training track for her first facing winners, and I like her chances.
2nd pick: #10 (Heart of New York) (9-5) - Grey daughter of grass champ "Kitten's Joy" rallied from far back to miss by a head here at this level and distanvce on May 3rd. Heavily favored that day, it was her first start since Jan. 1 and she's a win candidate this afternoon.
3rd pick: #6 (Belongs to Dixie) (12-1) - Mare chased and weakened on April 28th racing here at this level going 7 furlongs. Good effort came in her first start since Dec. 6 and she's done well at this 8.5 furlong trip in the past (5-0-3-2). Price play.
4th pick: #4 (Chloe Bear) (6-1) - Home-bred daughter of "Macho Uno" has raced well in 3-of-4 turf starts and last out finished a close up fourth hee at this level and distance on May 3rd. Stalker fits and is a stretch threat.
5th pick: #9 (Red Code) (201) - Speed/stalker runs third back off an eight month break and she moves out in the gate after being sent hard last out from an inside draw. Capable of getting a share of this at a very big price.
