Top pick: #1 (ROUNDUPTHELUTE) (6-5) - The probable favorite, he's taking a big drop in class for owner/trainer Dave Jacobson. He just missed here at this distance facing tougher May 24 in his first since April 3 and first since arriving from Santa Anita. He followed that up with an even effort June 11. The horse to beat on the class reduction.

2nd pick: #2 (Face) (3-1) - Lightly raced gelding was sharp in his first pair, then tired last out at this level. 3yo 'broke through' the gate before the start and that often signals a sub par effort is coming as it means the horse very 'keyed up' and nervous. Claimed that day by Joe Sharp, new barn has worked him three times since and Sharp wins at a solid 31% rate first off the claim..

3rd pick: #7 (Howaboutme) (6-1) - He takes the same drop as 'Roundupthelute' and exits a common May 24 contest with that rival. He tired that day after racing close up, and was 9 1/2 lengths back of him at the finish. He moves off the rail and this outside post is a plus at this 7-furlong distance.

4th pick: #4 (S S Dixie) (10-1) - 'Nibbler' finished 3rd at this level June 7 in a small field (5). This group is much tougher and a small slice is his ceiling.
