Working steadily for his return, he's bred for the grass, and John Velazquez is aboard.
2nd pick: #2 (Waco) (12-1) - Longshot has been freshened up since Jan. 1st when he set the pace and tired going 8.5-furlongs on the Gulfstream turf. He was working sharply at Palm Meadows before shipping here, and has a shot at a big price.
3rd pick: #6 (Ferlin Husky) (3-1) - Speedy colt has finished second in three straight at this level and distance on the dirt, and is training well for his first since March 22. Son of "Mr. Greeley" must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #7 (Eternal Bull) (5-1) - $150k yearling by "Harlan's Holiday" chased and weakened when debuting at this level on the Gulfstream dirt Feb. 12th. Freshened up since, he's bred for the dirt, and trainer Mike Hushion has won with seven of 17 second time starters (41%)over the past 17 1/2 months.
