Top pick: #3 (PRIMA DONNA PIRATE) - Very lightly raced filly finished a strong second in late Feb. at Tampa in her first since last June. She was working fast there before heading here. Faces fellow state-breds this afternoon and she's much the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Royal Alluvial) - Lightly-raced filly ships from the Fair Grounds and will be racing on the grass for only the second time. She finished fourth there facing "open" foes in a 5-furlong sprint Jan. 20th and trainer Mike Stidham has only run her once since. Working fine and is well-spotted as she runs against fellow Illinois-breds today.
3rd pick: #1 (Suspended Moon) - Speedy filly broke her maiden on the Hawthorne lawn last fall and thst was her first and only turf starts until this afternoon. Racing into shape following a five week break and she draws the inside post. Tough if left alone early.
