Top pick: #6 (NATE THE NATURAL) (6-1) - Price play made up a lot of ground following a troubled break here on June 20th in a contest common to several others entered in this contest. It was his first race since last Sept. and he's worked fast twice since. Capable barn (Michele Boyce) has him making back-to-back starts for the first time and grey gelding has a solid shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #5 (Kite) (7-2) - Gelding by top grass sire "Kitten's Joy" has been competitive in all four starts and finished fourth here at this level in his grass debut June 20th. Working nicely since and a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Hart Hills Road) (3-1) - The probable favorite, grey gelding has improved noticeably of late and has finished second in both starts here on the grass. Stalker was beaten a "head" at this level on June 20th and defeated both "Nate" and "Kite" that afternoon. Obvious threat at a short price.
4th pick: #2 (Wildlife Artist) (9-2) - The field's most experienced maiden showed some promise last fall in Kentucky, but has been racing evenly since coming back from a 4 1/2 month layoff on April 12th. Fits with his best.
