(# 9) Lapin - All systems go for his career debut. Has not missed a beat in the AM since beginning his works in early Nov. and probably worked before that as well. Steady/well spaced works here and in Florida. Capable first out sire and trainer. A home bred, he will obviously be well meant in his debut. Makes first start as a gelding and gets Lasix which the other first timer, "Call Me Larry," does not. Get acquainted breeze on over this track on 2/7.

(# 4) Call Me Larry - First timer by Rodeo has worked at regular intervals since middle of Nov. for Leah Gyarmati. Best statistic of those listed is that C.C.Lopez is three-for-eight over the past 14 months for the trainer.

(#'s 1 & 1a) Paraneck Entry (No Ringer and Sal The Pal) - "No Ringer," was bet down to 7/2 in debut which came with front bandages on. Lost all chance when he bobbled at the start. Blinkers go on quickly and improvement is expected. "Sal the Pal," has been competitive for his last six starts without winning. Outside draw means he will have to work hard all the way.

(# 7 & 8) Gimmee Getme & Hickory Stick - "Gimmee Getme," is slowly but surely improving a bit with each start for veteran and Hall of Famer Frank Martin who won two here yesterday. Colt has attracted Coa and Dominguez amongst his riders in his five starts. "Hickory Stick," has shown a hint of ability in his six races placing second last time to "Major Deegan."
