Top pick: #1 (UNCLE SIGH) (2-1) - "Uncle" just missed (a "head") when debuting here in a muddy track sprint on Dec. 7, then was the most impressive maiden winner of this meet Dec. 27 going two-turns. He's worked fast since, has the rail, and this $270K son of "Indian Charlie" is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Samraat) (7-5) - Undefeated (3-for-3) and untested, he was a 17-length winner here at this distance facing fellow New York-breds in the $100K "Damon Runyon" stakes on Dec. 18. Home-bred is an obvious win candidate and is the probable favorite.
3rd pick: #4 (Classic Giacroll) (5-1) - Since finishing a close-up fourth in his debut, this colt has gone 5-2-2-1 and ran second here at this trip in the G2 "Jerome" stakes on Jan. 4. He would benefit the most if the top two were to be involved in a fast and/or contested pace.
4th pick: #6 (Honorable Judge) (15-1) - Philly shipper has won two of his three starts and in his only loss he was not competitive in the G3 "Iroquois" stakes at Churchill in early Sept. Working fast and he can grab a share if he brings his Pennsylvania form with him.
