Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (HALLADAY) (2-1) - This speed/stalker from the Pletcher barn has gone 5-2-2-1 since switching to the grass and enters off a pace-setting third place finish, beaten a 1/2 length going a mile at Belmont in the English Channel Stakes Oct. 26. Working fast since, he gets top billing.
2nd pick: #4 (Proliferate) (8-1) - Lightly raced colt is one of two entered by Mark Casse and the pair go as separate betting interests. No-speed type enters off a troubled trip in a G3 at Churchill Downs Nov. 9, but was a sharp winner at Keeneland in his previous start in a first-level allowance Oct. 11. A fast and/or contested pace would help his chances out.
3rd pick: #1 (Forty Under) (10-1) - He's been on the sidelines since tiring badly in the rich Penn National Mile (G2) June 1. A stakes winner as a 2yo, he's working fast, has the rail, and is dangerous at a big price if ready off the six month layoff.
4th pick: #2 (Osage Moon) (6-1) - The second of the pair from the Casse barn, he's won two in a row at Woodbine and is making his stakes debut in this spot. Colt has a speed/stalking style, is clearly improving, and Irad Ortiz Jr is aboard.
