Top pick: #1 (COLIZEO) (5-1) - Price playwas an impressive winner here facing weaker on Feb. 10th in his first off an expensive claim ($50K) by the Rodriguez barn. Speed/stalker is working fine for this and he has the best post for this 9-furlong stakes.
2nd pick: #2 (The Last Gunfighter) (5-2) - Lightly-raced colt has won four in a row since moving to the barn of Chad Brown last summer. He's progressed rapidly and last out won the $75K "Evening Attire" stakes on Jan. 19. Working fast at Belmont and an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Mordi's Miracle) (4-1) - Another who's lightly raced, he's one of two entered by Todd Pletcher and the pair race uncoupled. Zayat home-bred has shown tremendous improvement since his blinkers were removed and he should be involved every step.
4th pick: #3 (Isn't He Perfect) (12-1) - Veteran was narrowly beaten by "Gunfighter" in Jan. and last out he finished second to today's rival "Joan's Choice" when that runner got away with very slow fractions here on Feb. 16. It's of note that Kent Desormeaux is in for the mount.
