Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (COPPER TOWN) (5-2) - Injury-plagued colt certainly has plenty of ability when healthy. He's won three in a row in easy fashion and is taking a big step up this afternoon. Speed/stalker ships from Keeneland where he won a 6.5-furlong prep for this contest Oct. 13. It was his first race in just over a year and he followed that up with four works at Belmont during November. Tough call, but I think he can win this.
2nd pick: #2 (Sunny Ridge) (9-2) - Multiple stakes winner has been freshened up since finishing second at this distance in Belmont's Kelso Handicap (G2) Sept. 22. Stalker likes this trip 5-1-3-1 and he has Irad Ortiz Jr. back aboard following a one-race absence.
3rd pick: #8 (Patternrecognition) (7-2) - One of two from Chad Brown and the pair race uncoupled. He defeated 'Sunny Ridge' by a length Sept. 22 at Belmont, draws a good post, and he's a perfect two for two at Aqueduct with both wins at this mile distance. He's in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (True Timber) (12-1) - Longshot enters off a distant second-place finish here in the G3 Bold Ruler Stakes going 7 furlongs Nov 2. Sharp in all six starts this year, the stalker is capable of factoring at a big price.
