It was her first since finishing second under the same conditions Sept. 1 at Saratoga. She worked on Nov. 17, is making back-to-back starts for the first time, and 'Hall of Fame ' trainer Bill Mott has Castellano signed on.
2nd pick: #7 (Votre Coeur) (5-2) - The probable favorite, daughter of 'Flatter' is racing first off a claim by trainer Leah Gyarmati. This filly has been competitive in all four starts so far and until the barn change Sept. 23 had been with Chad Brown's outfit. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Flying K C ) (9-2) - Mare has had a lot of chances, but tries hard every time. Five-year-old has finished second in four of her last six attempts and all have come at this level. Stalker has the rail and must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #10 (Jennifer's Legacy) (4-1) - Lightly-raced home bred has checked in second in her last two attempts at this level. Stretch runner fits, but will have to overcome a tough outside post in this Thanksgiving Day finale.
