Top pick: #1 (DENDRITE) - Gelding has been freshened up since early Sept. and he has a new trainer in Carlos Martin. 3-year-old is trining nicely, has the best early speed, and he draws the inside post. It's also of note that J.J. Castellano is aboard, as he wins at a 19% rate when riding for Martin.
2nd pick: #11 (Wagon Train) - Lightly-raced colt finished 3rd last out at this level in his first off a Dave Jacobson claim. He drops this son of "Gone West" under the purchase price today and has Dominguez aboard. 3-year-old is a major threat if he gets in off the also-eligible list.
3rd pick: #7 (Act of War) - Well-bred colt takes a big drop today and gets a huge trainer upgrade to Juan Guerrero (32% with new arrivals). Son of "Galileo" is working steadily and he had a bullet 5-furlong drill Oct. 9. In the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Soup A' Fleet) - Improving at this stage, he moves back to the grass following a second-place finish at Belmont in an off the turf contest Oct. 17. Grey gelding has positional speed and should be involved from start to finish.
