Top pick: #10 (ST. SINCERE) (4-1) - He had a lot of trouble at the start last out and rushed up to open a clear lead, but tired late to finish third of nine, beaten three lengths racing here at this tag & distance on Nov. 1st. The horse to beat.
nd pick: #2 (Rap d'Oro) (3-1) - Win candidate, he drops down from $35K to race for $16,000 in his second back from a seven week freshening. 3yo by "Medaglia d'Oro" has some talent, runs at a new low, and is spotted to win.
rd pick: #1 (Douro) (6-1) - Very lightly raced, he showed only brief speed facing tougher here 10 days ago in his first since Aug. 21st at Saratoga. Owner/trainer Danny Gargan drops him way down today, and well under the price he claimed him for.
th pick: #12 (M P Ruckus) (9-2) - Jersey-bred has finished second in five of eight starts on the dirt, and last out did so here in the same Nov. 1st contest as "Sincere." Stalker draws a tough post, and will need to avoid a wide trip for anything more than a minor award.
th pick: #11 (Ballybrit) (12-1) - He raced wide before tiring following a poor break here racing for a $35K tag on Nov. 2nd. He seems best on the grass, but could get a small slice at a big price.
