Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (SPOOKED OUT) (5-2) - The probable favorite, grey colt was involved in a spirited pace-duel through fast fractions when debuting at this level going 6.5-furlongs at Belmont Oct 10. He held well to finish second in a game effort. Trainer Todd Pletcher (23% second-time out) has worked him twice since and brings him back in just under a month. Repole home bred has the rail and is the horse to beat.
nd pick: #2 (Stormin Stephen) (5-1) - Lasix is added by trainer Chris Clement and he's moving this home bred by 'Malibu Moon' from turf to dirt. Speed/stalker has been sharp in three straight at this level on the turf and I see no reason why he shouldn't be on the dirt.
rd pick: #4 (Hit It Once More) (4-1) - Colt by 'Hard Spun' enters off a second-place finish at Belmont Oct 10. Speed/stalker earned a solid figure that is just below that of 'Spooked Out.' An obvious contender.
th pick: #6 (Mr. Curiosity) (20-1) - Long shot has tired badly in both well backed starts. He continues to work extremely fast and had a bullet half-mile (best of 64) at Belmont the morning of Nov 1.
th pick: #3 (Investigator) (8-) - Debuting son of 'Super Saver' cost $170,000 in Sept of 2014 as a Keeneland sales yearling. Initially prepared in Kentucky, he's worked three times at Belmont since shipping east. His trainer (Jay Servis) is having a career best year ( 72 for 312, 23%).
